Andreas Kattos was born in 1958, in Vatili Village- Famagusta. He studied Interior Design and Pottery at Famagusta Technical School for one year. In 1974 after the Turkish Invasion, he attended Ceramic Lessons at the Ceramic School OAED of Marousi-Athens, the Center of the Ceramic Art. Meanwhile he worked next to the Well Known Ceramist Costas Panopoulos one of the Top Greek Ceramists. From 1979 to 1981 he worked at the workshop of Cyprus Handicraft Center in Nicosia. Since 1990 he uses his own workshop in Limassol. Meanwhile he gives pottery, wheel, micro-sculpture, clay- plastic and decoration lessons. Usually municipalities, organizations, schools, hotels, etc request from him to demonstrate show the Art of Clay. He exhibited in five solo exhibitions, in Limassol, Nicosia, and Paphos and much participation in group exhibitions in Cyprus, Athens, Malta, Crete and South Africa. He cooperates with Minima Gallery in Mykonos, Morfi, Peter's Gallery, and K Gallery in Cyprus. His work is presented at picture-galleries, private collections, hotels, municipalities, Banks, and other places in Cyprus and Abroad.
